diagram created in NovaMind. It is obviously not complete and therefore a rough draft intended to illustrate a potential workflow. Search phrases (see DEVONThink branch at top with + symbol next to it) are text that you run across in reading that you want to explore later. I use MAC OS X Services to Clip the specific words into NoteTaker. In NoteTaker a search phrase can be used as a seed for creating a set of additional search terms—adding quotes OR synonyms etc. (thinking broad and detailed). The new search terms are children of the original search phrase. NoteTaker Mac OS X Services or LaunchBar can be used to search Google or Find in a notebook. Material found through Google is clipped (Mac OS X Service) back to DEVONThink and the process can begin all over. A variation: The term search phrases could be replaced with topics that are clipped to NoteTaker or NoteBook and then arranged in an outline order and exported to a format that NovaMind can import. In NovaMind the topics would be expanded and text added to branch long text windows. Export this out to OMPL. Clean it up. You gotta draft.
